IsoRay Medical continues to expand market adoption of Cesium-131 during third quarter 2007

RICHLAND, WA—IsoRay Medical, Inc. continues to broaden medical center acceptance of Cesium-131 as a brachytherapy treatment for prostate cancer, adding 51 active sites for a total of 142 through March 23, 2007. These active sites are either revenue producing, in the process of getting licensed for Cesium-131, or are targeted and are in advanced discussions to adopt Cesium-131.

IsoRay, Inc. ("IsoRay") (OTCBB:ISRY) is a medical isotope company that focuses on brachytherapy solutions for prostate and other malignant tissue cancers through use of its proprietary Cesium-131 radioisotope.

The considerable increase from 91 to 142 active locations (through March 23, 2007 of the company’s 3rd quarter 2007) comes from the conversion of sites previously listed as “License in Process” sites to revenue generating sites.  Of the 12 sites listed in fiscal 2nd quarter (see chart below), nine sites placed and received orders in the 3rd quarter and two will receive orders in April. The final site is added to the 27 new “License in Process” sites for 3rd quarter totaling 28.  For the same period, 53 sites have been added to the “Pre-Licensing Process” for a total of 76.

“We are pleased with the continued momentum in the number of active locations, as well as their conversion to revenue producing centers for IsoRay. We are seeing the positive impact from the expansion of our sales team in December 2006 and January 2007,” said IsoRay Chairman and CEO Roger Girard.

IsoRay Vice President Lori Woods said IsoRay plans to continue increasing the sales force during the next three months to bring the total of Territory Managers to 14-15.

Girard said the continued development of IsoRay’s sales team coincides with the upcoming release of information about the safety and efficacy of IsoRay Medical’s Cesium-131 brachytherapy seeds at the American Brachytherapy Society’s (ABS) 28th Annual Meeting, April 28—May 1, 2007 in Chicago. Four submissions will be announced by key national and international opinion leaders in the brachytherapy market—providing sought after information regarding Cesium-131 brachytherapy seeds.

About IsoRay

IsoRay, Inc., through its subsidiary, IsoRay Medical, Inc., is the sole producer of the Cesium-131 brachytherapy seed, used to treat prostate and other cancers. The Cesium-131 seed offers a significantly shorter half-life than the two other isotopes commonly used for brachytherapy.  Because it delivers 90% of its dose in 33 days, Cesium-131 reduces the duration of normal tissue exposure as compared to the other isotopes available. IsoRay is based in Richland, Washington. More information is available about IsoRay at www.isoray.com.
